Information & Real Estate Data
The town of Stow is a small and charming rural
community characterized by rolling hills, abundant wooded areas,
country lands and apple orchards. The town has always been a big
draw for people looking to escape the urban environment. In its
early days, Stow's Lake Boon was a popular summer resort for city
dwellers who built cottages along the shore. In October, visitors
head for Stow's four apple orchards, where pick-your-own has become
a popular tourist attraction. The town also has a reputation for a
good school system with a strong sports program, and Stow is popular
with golfers who come from long distances to play on its three
courses. The town is almost exclusively
residential, but its proximity to larger communities makes it a
comfortable, convenient location for those desiring a country
atmosphere. The town places an emphasis on controlled real estate development
and realistic preservation of Stow’s historical past.
